Another well succeeded event!

We would like to congratulate everyone who finished the race and thank you all for making this another successful UPR edition.

This year we broke yet another record with a total of 190 registrations. Of course not all of them finished but like any other race that was also to be expected. For us, what matters is that you came and that you did your best to finish and that above all, you had fun participating.

Lovely to see surprised new faces, realizing this is indeed a race and you have to give the energy the whole day, as well as many regular followers, now more laid-back, becoming more picky with their choices.  But, honestly, what we enjoyed and appreciated the most is the interaction with everyone. Even if this is a tight-schedule day, everyone is so collaborative, motivating, giving tips to each other, and giving us constant feedback.

Over the years, the most valuable thing has been the beautiful network formed around this event. We would like to thank Marta Orlando, Ian Vennik and Beatriz Pineda, for helping us out with the race day tasks, to all of checkpoint locations we visited and finally all participants for following us and translating our ideas into great images!!!

We hope to see you all at the exhibition!! In the mean time here's some snapshots of that day.

The Amsterdam Urban Photo Race 2016 was again very successful, tiring and inspiring! Thanks for organizing it again and see you all in 2017!!!!

The GT winners are out and they come from a "Perfect Place"!

At this year's UPR Amsterdam we joined once again the international organisation of Photo Marathons around the World. This means that all around the world in separate photo marathons we all shared a common Global Theme, the "Perfect Place".

We're proud to be among many great cities like DublinShenyangNicePatrasCopenhagen and Berlin.

The winners of this theme will be shared amongst all photo marathons and be shown on each respective city exhibition event.

Indeed everything looked better big and hanging from a wall...

Last Sunday, 9th of October, we organized the awards ceremony of the Urban Photo Race 2016.

The event took place at the Volkshotel, and we were happy to host many of the participants, friends, sponsors and collaborators of the race, but also a lot of curious minds. We would like to give special thanks to the jury for being present at the event, and for making themselves available to answer questions and comment on the photo selections. In this occasion, Fokko Muller had shared with us how, with much care, he takes the time to rate every photo, and to finally submit his selection.

Moreover, we were very pleased to have awarded every winner with their respectives awards as many of them traveled a long way to attend our closing ceremony. This is certainly one of our main goals, to make the exhibition an enjoyable and complementary event to the race, during which we enjoy discussing the photo selections, remembering nice moments of the race, exchange contacts and build up collaborations.

Thanks a lot for being there and sharing this exciting project with us!!! We leave you with some highlights of this year's exhibition and awards event and we hope to see you again next year.
